The Monarch Platform is a revolutionary flexible endoscopic technology

that holds promise to fight lung cancer by allowing physicians to diagnose and then treat hard to reach, small peripheral nodules earlier and with greater precision than ever before.

ENDOSCOPY  is a procedure used in medicine to look inside the body. The endoscopy procedure uses an endoscope to examine the interior of a hollow organ or cavity of the body. Unlike many other medical imaging techniques, endoscopes are inserted directly into the organ.

When collaborating with Auris Health to achieve their goals for the platform, we drew on our experience in industrial design, design for manufacturing, user experience, UI, visual design and high-fidelity prototyping. The result was a surgical system unified by a consistent, intuitive physical and digital interface.

The system consists of the Monarch tower, cart, physical controller, and a digital UI that combines traditional endoscopic views with computer-assisted navigation based on 3D models of the patient’s own lung anatomy.
